ASHLAND, Va. - No. 3 Randolph-Macon kept its ODAC men's basketball record perfect with an 85-59 victory over Shenandoah Wednesday evening at Crenshaw Gymnasium.
Macon (18-1, 10-0 ODAC) had five men score in double figures in earning its seventh straight victory over Shenandoah (6-13, 3-7).
IN BRIEF
The Yellow Jackets shot a solid 54 percent (19-of-35) in the opening stanza as they took a 46-21 lead into the break.
R-MC led wire-to-wire and used an 11-5 run from the 15:56 to 11:18 marks of the first to initially push its lead to double digits. They held that double-digit lead for the final 28:42 of the contest.
The two teams split the first 12 points of the second, with Avery White opening the half with a jumper and both Harry Wall and Jalen Hill canning a pair from the line.
Macon then scored 17 of the game's next 27 points to erase any thoughts of a Shenandoah comeback.
Now with a 32-point advantage, R-MC coasted home to the 26-point win.
Alan Dabney led the Hornets with 12 points.
