ASHLAND, Va. - The Shenandoah University women's basketball team fell 73-51 at Randolph-Macon Tuesday evening in ODAC action.

Shenandoah (15-9, 11-6 ODAC) got on the board first before Randolph-Macon (12-5, 14-9) scored the next five points and held the lead the rest of the way.

IN BRIEF

The Hornets were down just seven points at the first break before the Yellow Jackets dominated the second quarter to extend their lead.

R-MC's defense held SU to just six points and led Shenandoah 37-20 at halftime.

The Hornets bounced back in the second half, nearly matching the victors' output, but the deficit was too much to overcome.

STATS OF THE DAY

Jordan Sondrol led the Hornets with 17 points and went 3-for-5 from behind the arc.
Sierra St. Cyr added 12 points with three steals and three assists.
Sondrol had a team-high five rebounds.
The Hornets have already clinched an ODAC playoff berth but need to win on Saturday to guarantee a ticket tto the Salem Civic Center and the ODAC quarterfinals.
