SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – The women's lacrosse team earned its sixth straight victory with an 19-8 non-league win over Bridgewater (Mass.) State Tuesday morning at the Puerto Rico Clasico.

The Hornets (6-0) jumped on the Bears (1-3) for 11 first half goals before coasting home to the 11-goal victory.
IN BRIEF
Leading 3-2 after BSC tallied a pair of goals midway through the first, Shenandoah reeled off an 8-0 run to finish the first half and seize total control of the contest.

Anna Baxter, who co-led the Hornets with four goals each, both scored twice during this run.

Bridgewater State tallied the initial three goals of the second half to cut the deficit to 11-5, but Shenandoah again had an answer.

An 8-1 run over the next 15 minutes extended the SU lead out to 13 goals and secured the victory.

The Hornets nearly doubled up the Bears in shots, 34-18, had a 17-10 advantage in groundballs and won 16 of 27 draws.
