WINCHESTER, Va. – Shenandoah University ran its field hockey winning streak to eight Saturday afternoon with a 5-0 ODAC victory over Randolph-Macon.

After a scoreless first half, in which SU (8-1, 1-0 ODAC) had two goals taken off the board, the Hornets dominated over the final 30 minutes.

Shenandoah finally broke through with an
Elizabeth Ranberger goal three minutes into the third and then added goals at 38:25, 48:04, 51:33, and 59:30 to coast to the shutout win over Macon (4-5, 0-1).

Five different women found the back of the net with Ranberger,
Abby Barefoot, and
Kelsey Jones all contributing one goal and one assist.

Lindsey Florio and
Lauren Tyre had the victors other two goals.

The SU defense was outstanding, holding the Yellow Jackets to just three shots and two penalty corners.

Shenandoah took 50 shots of its own and had 20 penalty corners.
