WINCHESTER, Va. – Shenandoah University's men's soccer team earned a 2-0 win against Ferrum College Saturday night in an ODAC contest.
Shenandoah (8-7-2, 3-3-2 ODAC) celebrated the program's seniors,
Pedro Flor,
Austin Gellios, and
Jack Meixner, in the victory over Ferrum (2-13, 1-8).

The win, combined with Hampden-Sydney's loss versus Lynchburg, means that the Hornets have clinched a spot in the post-season ODAC Tournament for the first time in program history. SU can earn the seventh seed with either a win or tie Tuesday at Randolph-Macon or a Bridgewater loss versus Lynchburg.
The eight-team tournament starts next Saturday.
Connor Robles opened scoring in the 39
th minute by working his way into the box and scoring a goal on the near-post side.
After trading possessions and scoring opportunities throughout the second half, the Hornets would extend their lead by one when
Matthew Allen received an assist from
Nathan Yared and found the right side of the net.

Travis Jett posted the shutout by stopping two shots.
The Hornets outshot the Panthers 15-9 and had a 6-2 advantage on corners.
Flor led the SU in shots with five.
