WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University field hockey team ran its winning streak to 10 matches Saturday with a 9-0 ODAC home win over Virginia Wesleyan.
The Hornets (10-1, 3-0 ODAC) jumped all over Virginia Wesleyan (2-7, 0-3) for a pair of goals in the opening 4:36 of the contest.

Jones had two of the squad's three goals in the second quarter, sandwiching unassisted goals at 20:26 and 29:27 around an
Abbey Ritter goal at 28:15.
Jones' latter goal in that run came on a penalty stroke.
Jones, the reigning ODAC Player of the Year, completed her hat trick 3:47 into third.
Lindsey Florio had the next two goals before Jones fed Tyre at 39:56 to make it 9-0 by the end of the third.
The fourth quarter became a game of possession as the Hornets coasted home to the victory.
Shenandoah took 32 of the game's 33 shots and 10 of the 12 corners.
Jones led all players with three goals and two assists for eight points with Florio and Tyre both posting a pair of goals.

Katie Garman had to make just one save to post her third shutout of the season.
