SWEET BRIAR, Va. – The Shenandoah University women's soccer team opened its busy Saturday with a 4-0 ODAC victory over Sweet Briar.
 
Shenandoah (7-5-1, 3-0-1 ODAC) won for the second time this week with a dominating performance over the Vixens (2-5, 0-4).
 
IN BRIEF
Playing in the first of two games today, SU coach sent out a starting lineup with eight of the 11 players making either their first or second start of the season.
 
Those players made the most of their opportunity, outshooting SBC 72-0 and taking all 12 of the game's corner kicks. The Hornets took 36 shots in each half.
 
Victoria Peia netted what proved to be the game-winning with an unassisted tally at 30:19.
 
In the second, Madison Heiber scored unassisted at 50:23 before 
Kayla Jenkins converted a penalty kick at 61:36.
 
Hannah Shero closed the book on the game's scoring with a goal at 84:39.
Kira Ketelhut, making her first collegiate start in the goal, did not have to make a save in posting the shutout.
