WINCHESTER, Va. – No. 21/35 Shenandoah University finished off a weekend ODAC baseball sweep over Guilford College with a 6-2 victory Saturday afternoon at Bridgeforth Field.

Shenandoah (5-1, 2-0 ODAC) used three pitchers in throwing a five-hitter to push past the Quakers (0-2, 0-2).

Calvin Pastel (1-0) started and allowed two runs on three hits in five innings of work. He struck out three.

Colby Martin to get the final two outs and the freshman delivered with a pair of groundouts sandwiched around a walk.

The Shenandoah offense was held to seven hits, but scored two in the first, one in the second and three more in the fourth to safely secure the conference sweep.

Anthony Ward all had two hits with Ward and Martin both driving in a pair.

Martin had his first RBI on a triple to center in the second.

Drew Sawyer (0-1) took the loss for Guilford. He gave up three runs on one hit and one walk in working the first inning of the contest.
