FERRUM, Va. – The Shenandoah University women's lacrosse team opened up its 2021 ODAC slate Saturday with a 19-2 victory at Ferrum College.

Shenandoah (1-2, 1-0 ODAC) was dominant from start to finish in taking out the Panthers (4-2, 0-2).

The Hornets scored the initial six goals of the game and got it to a 10-goal margin with 11:15 remaining in the first half.

Now with the running clock, SU scored the final three goals of the first and the first three of the second before allowing Ferrum its second and final goal of the afternoon.

Lindsey Lutz' squad closed the book on the day's scoring with a three-goal run over the final 7:24.

Megan Egan each had five goals for the victors with
Alyson Bittinger adding three and
Natalie Nichols two.

Emily Onorato and
Macy Tignor all had two assists.

Goalkeepers
Ashley MacFarlane and
Shannon Eissele split six saves. The two women each played 30 minutes.

Shenandoah owned a 39-10 advantage in shots and won 19 of the game's 23 draw controls.Â
