ASHLAND, Va. – Shenandoah University won its second straight ODAC field hockey match with a 5-2 victory at Randolph-Macon Tuesday evening.
 
The Hornets (2-1, 2-1 ODAC) scored three goals in the third period to pull away from Macon (0-2, 0-2).

IN BRIEF

Trailing, 2-1, after R-MC sandwiched a pair of goals around halftime, Shenandoah scored three goals in a span of 6:23 to seize total control of the contest.
 
Lindsey Florio knotted it up at 2-2 with her tally off of a Farren Winter assist before Lauren Tyre put the Hornets on top to stay midway through the third.
 
Cassidy Morrison and Kylee Tuebner notched insurance goals in the third and fourth periods, respectively.
 
Tyre finished the night with two goals.
 
Goalkeeper Isabella Morande made four saves.
 
Shenandoah outshot the Yellow Jackets 18-6 and took seven of the game's 10 penalty corners.
