WINCHESTER, Va. – Shenandoah University earned its first ODAC volleyball victory over Guilford College in five years Saturday with a 3-0 home sweep over the Quakers.

Shenandoah (3-1, 2-1 ODAC) won at 17, 18, and 17 over GC (0-2, 0-2).

The Hornets never trailed in winning its first match over Guilford since a 3-0 home win on Oct. 3, 2015.

SU hit .279 (40-9-111) in the win with
Jillian Warter pacing the victors with 17 kills and
Kate Poppo adding 12. Coach
Kent Clayberg's club was progressively better throughout the match, hitting .220 in the first, .300 in the second, and .333 in the third.

Megan Hillyard and
Brooke Wagner combined for 30 of the Hornets 36 assists. Hillyard had 17 of that total.

Defensively,
Gabby Coradazzi had 16 digs and Hillyard 10.

SU also had two solo blocks and eight blocks assisted.
