Keegan Woolford became Shenandoah University's new home run king as the No. 13/35 Hornets took an 8-2 ODAC baseball victory from Bridgewater College Tuesday afternoon.

Woolford, the Hornets first baseman, hit solo home runs in the first and fifth innings to help SU (12-1, 7-0 ODAC) to its seventh straight victory.

Woolford's first dinger, with one out in the first, tied him with Scott Van Dusseldorp '10 and Cory Nelson '12 for the all-time lead.

In the fifth, with his team up 4-0, Woolford greeted reliever Hunter Mohr with a solo shot over the right field fence.

st of his career and comes in his 119
th contest in an SU uniform.

Bridgewater (5-4, 4-3) made matters interesting by cutting the deficit to 5-2 with one run in the fifth and another in the seventh only to see Shenandoah pull away with two in the eighth and one more in the ninth.

Woolford, who finished the day 3-for-4 with three RBI and three runs scored, drove in that final run with a double off the fence in right-center.

Colby Martin backed up Woolford with two hits and two RBI and leadoff hitter
Frankie Ritter was 2-for-4 with two runs scored.

Freshman
Reilly Owen (3-0) pitched the initial 5 2/3 and got the win after giving up an unearned run on three hits and five walks.

Cade Templeton got the final 10 outs to earn the save.

Both men struck out four.
