WINCHESTER, Va. – Visiting Virginia Wesleyan maintained its spot at the top of the ODAC women's tennis standings with an 8-1 victory over Shenandoah Sunday afternoon.

The Marlins (8-4, 7-1 ODAC) opened up by sweeping the doubles and then took the Nos. 2-6 singles matches over SU (3-6, 2-5).
IN BRIEF
For the second straight day, freshman
Jahveesha Combs provided the lone win for the Hornets. Combs was a 6-1, 6-3 winner at No. 1 over Alexa Brewster.

VWU dropped just a combined six games in the remaining five singles matches.

The closest doubles match came at No. 1, where Combs and
Lily Kimble dropped an 8-6 decision to Brewster and Audrey Bally.
