WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University men's lacrosse team saw its comeback fall just short in a 14-13 ODAC home loss to Randolph-Macon.

Shenandoah (3-2, 1-2 ODAC) battled back from a 5-0 deficit to trail by just one goal with 1:55 to play.Â

SU won the ensuing faceoff and got off a shot, but Macon keeper Oz Potter was there for the save. The Hornets then successfully broke the Yellow Jackets clear, setting up one more offensive opportunity.

Potter again stepped up to the challenge, however, and stopped
Jet Hayes shot with 20 seconds left. R-MC then ran out the clock to preserve the one-goal victory.

Chris Baker led the hosts with four goals while
Logan Clingerman had a game-high six points on a goal and five assists.

SU outshot the 'Jackets 38-36 and had a 29-28 advantage in groundballs.

R-MC won 16 of the 31 draws at the 'x'.
