WINCHESTER, Va. – Shenandoah University made quick work of Ferrum College in a 9-0 ODAC women's tennis victory Friday afternoon.

Leading 2-0 before the players took the court, Shenandoah (3-3, 2-3 ODAC) needed just 90 minutes to dispatch the Panthers (0-8, 0-7).

Ferrum traveled with just five players, causing the Panthers to default at both No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles.

SU dropped just one game, at No. 1 doubles, in sweeping the other two doubles matches to increase its lead to 4-0.

The five singles matches were more of the same as
Jahveesha Combs,
Lily Kimble and
Kelly Hudak, playing Nos. 1, 2, and 4, respectively, all won at love.

Madison Hansen was a 6-1, 6-1 victor at No. 3 while
Madison Rogers won 8-1 in a pro-set match at No. 5.

Combs and Kimble had combined for the win at No. 1 doubles with the Madisons, Hansen and Rogers, teaming up for the 8-0 victory at No. 2 doubles.
UP NEXT
Shenandoah travels to the Hill City Saturday to take on the University of Lynchburg in a noon ODAC match. Depending on the weather, this match could be moved indoors to the Crosswhite Tennis Club.
