WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University women's tennis team earned its first victory of the fall season Sunday with an 8-1 non-league victory over Catholic University of America.

Shenandoah (1-1) swept the three doubles matches before winning in the top five singles matches to complete the victory over CUA (1-2).

Ariella Stepleman opening the singles with a win at love over Aubree Narus at No. 3.

Kelly Hudak, and
Allison Cherwien all were straight set winners in singles with Combs playing No. 2, Hudak No. 4 and Cherwien No. 5.

Cherwien teamed with
Jada Lewis to put the Hornets first team point on the board with an 8-2 victory at No. 3 doubles.

Stepleman and
Lily Kimble won at love at No. 2, while Garcia Molina and Combs matched Lewis and Cherwien with an 8-2 triumph at No. 1.
