ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – Shenandoah University earned its second straight women's tennis victory of the 2021-22 season with an 8-1 non-league win at St. Mary's of Maryland Tuesday afternoon.

Shenandoah (2-1) was dominant in its win over SMCM (0-2); the Hornets won three of the six singles matches at love and two of the others dropping just one game each.

The lone victory for the 'Hawks came by the slimmest of margins. At No. 4 singles,
Lily Kimble and Amber Manspeaker split their initial two sets with each winning 6-4. In the 10-point third set tiebreaker, Manspeaker slipped by Kimble with an 11-9 win.

In doubles, García Molina teamed with Combs, Stepleman with Kimble, and Cherwien with
Jada Lewis to sweep Nos. 1 through 3, respectively.
