WESTMINISTER, Md. – Shenandoah University earned its sixth straight field hockey victory Wednesday evening with a 3-1 non-league win at McDaniel College.
 
The Hornets (6-1) got all of the offense they would need with Cassidy Morrison and Abby Barefoot goals in the first 18 minutes of the game.
 
IN BRIEF
Just 30 seconds after Barefoot scored unassisted to make it 2-0 SU, the game entered a 30-minute weather delay.
 
The two teams played the final 12 minutes of the second quarter without scoring but the Hornets were not finished. Just three minutes into the third, Kelsey Jones found Farren Winter with Shenandoah's third goal of the contest.
 
McDaniel (2-6) got on the board with 4:21 to play.
 
SU outshot the Green Terror, 11-2, and had a 14-3 advantage on penalty corners.
 
Hornets goalkeeper Katie Garman had to make just one save.
