WINCHESTER, Va. – Shenandoah University field hockey team defeated Washington College 5-2 in a non-conference contest on Saturday afternoon.
The Hornets (7-1) won their seventh straight game thanks to three goals from Mairead McKibbin and downed the Shorewomen (4-3) in the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
IN BRIEF
SU scored the first three goals of the game, with two in the first quarter and one in the second. The eventual game winner was scored from the top of the circle by
Elizabeth Ranberger with the assist coming off the stick of
Abby Barefoot.
The last two Hornet goals would come from McKibbin who got assists from
Kylee Tuebner and
Kelsey Jones. Washington College would score the final goal of the contest halfway through the fourth quarter.

Taylor Bullis both saw playing time today in the net with Garman picking up the win.
Five of the starters for the Hornets played the entire 60 minutes of the contest.
