ASHLAND, Va. – Host Randolph-Macon earned its first ODAC volleyball win of the season Wednesday night with a 3-0 victory over Shenandoah.

The Yellow Jackets (5-4, 1-0 ODAC) won at 16, 20, and 23 over the Hornets (3-8, 0-2).

The 'Jackets hit .270 (42 kills-15 errors—100 attempts) to .140 for SU (30-17---93). In the opening set, R-MC was a sizzling .444 with 14 kills against two errors in 27 attempts.

Kate Poppo led the visitors with 11 kills with
Jillian Warter adding eight along with seven digs.

Defensively,
Natalie Reader had 10 digs,
Brooke Gast eight, and Poppo six.

Brooke Wagner had 21 of the squad's 28 assists and matched Warter's seven digs.
