WINCHESTER, Va. – Shenandoah University's men's soccer team fell 2-1 against Hampden-Sydney in its ODAC opener Saturday night.
Two second half goals by Hamden-Sydney (3-2-1, 1-0 ODAC) helped them pull off the victory against Shenandoah (5-4, 0-1).
IN BRIEF
A Boyce Purdie goal less than ten minutes into the second half opened up scoring for the Tigers. H-SC struck again 15 minutes later on a Michael Ogenyi off of a corner kick.
The Hornets would make the game a one-goal game after centerback

Nathan Yared.
Despite a final push to tie the game from SU, Hampden-Sydney would hold on to their one-goal lead to take home the win.
The Hornets had four shots in each half and held the Tigers to just three shots the entire contest. SU also led corner kicks 5-3.
