Women's Soccer Falls in Overtime

Salisbury Nets Game Winner in 94th Minute

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – Salisbury University netted a golden goal four minutes into overtime Saturday to earn a 2-1 overtime women's soccer victory over Shenandoah.
 
Playing at Jamie L. Roberts Stadium on the St. Mary's of Maryland campus, Salisbury (1-0) scored 3:53 into overtime to down the Hornets (1-1).

Elizabeth McGee scored for Shenandoah, tying the game at 1-1 with her unassisted goal at 54:19.
 
Salisbury opened the day's scoring in the sixth minute.
 
The Sea Gulls out shot SU 15-13, including taking the only shot in sudden victory overtime, while the Hornets won three of the game's five corners.
 
Karissa Dominick had six saves in the first half. Kasie Kilmer played the final 48:53 and made two stops.
