WINCHESTER, Va. – Visiting University of Lynchburg rallied for an 84-68 ODAC men's basketball victory over Shenandoah University Monday evening at the James R. Wilkins, Jr. Athletics & Events Center.

Shenandoah (3-13, 2-5 ODAC) led 39-35 at the break only to see its fellow set of ODAC Hornets (10-5, 4-2) rally in the second half.

Trailing 61-53, Lynchburg scored nine straight points to take a 62-61 lead with 8:14 to play.

Jaylen Williams free throw followed by a driving layup put the hosts back on top, 64-62, but Lynchburg now had the momentum. The visitors answered with a Tharon Suggs 3-pointer on the ensuing trip down the floor and never trailed again.

Suggs' '3', one of nine for Lynchburg on the night, ignited a 15-2 run over the next 5:49 of game time that put the contest out of reach. Suggs had 10 of his '29' points during the run while SU missed eight of its nine attempts from the field.

With Shenandoah fouling over the final 66 seconds, Lynchburg canned seven of its final eight from the charity stripe to clinch the victory.

Williams paced the hosts with 24 points while
Davion Roberts added 11. Suggs had 29 and Israel Lockamy 21 for the visitors.

Shenandoah shot 36 percent (25 of 70) from the field and had 38 rebounds. Lynchburg was 26 of 58 (45 percent) and pulled down 44 boards.
