WINCHESTER, Va. – Visiting Washington & Lee University swept Shenandoah University Saturday in men's wrestling action at the James R. Wilkins, Jr. Athletics & Events Center.
 
Washington & Lee (8-5) opened with a technical fall victory at 141 before sweeping the remaining seven contested matches versus Shenandoah (1-2).
 
IN BRIEF
The second-year Hornets had a number of close matches as 
Jalen Cornelius dropped a 7-5 decision at 157 and 
Thomas Domerese a 3-2 battle at 197.
 
Both matches came down to the final moments as Nick Alejandro executed a takedown in the final 20 seconds to best Cornelius and John Ryan Sedovy held off a charging Domerese in the third to earn that 3-2 win.
 
The Generals had wins by fall at 165 and heavyweight while picking up forfeits at 125 and 133.
