SALISBURY, Md. – Graduate student
Erin Atkinson paced the Shenandoah University cross country teams at the Don Cathcart Invitational hosted by Salisbury University.
Atkinson led the SU women to a second-place finish in their 6000-meter event by winning the race with a 22:47.
The SU men finished fourth in their 8000-meter race.

Atkinson, a 2021 All-ODAC honoree and NCAA national championship participant, won the race by seven seconds over Salisbury's Alyssa Santoro.
Salisbury, with the second, third, eighth, 11
th, and 14
th place finishers, won the event with 38 points. Shenandoah was 14 back and both sets of SUs easily outdistanced third place Delaware State. DSU, a DI school, finished with 90 points.

MEN'S RECAP
Host Salisbury, who went 1-2-4-5-10, won the men's event with 22 points. Shenandoah's 147 points was two in front of fifth place Stevenson and 31 back of Wilmington (Del.).
Elias McGhie led the men with a 28:00.7 that was good for 22
nd.
Ethan Harrower,
Noah Hurd,
Tyler Smith, and
Sean Baggett backed up McGhie.
UP NEXT
Both teams are back in action next Saturday at the interregional Border Battle hosted by Rowan University.
