ARLINGTON, Va. – The Shenandoah University women's basketball team's comeback fell short in a 59-56 win for Marymount University Tuesday night in non-league action.
Down 11 entering the fourth, the Hornets (3-1) cut the deficit down to one with four seconds left, but the Saints (6-1) held on for the win.

With a shot at overtime, Shenandoah's halfcourt shot at the final buzzer hit the front of the rim and sealed the final.
The Hornets scored early scoring 21 points in the opening 10 minutes helped by a 53% (7 for 13) shooting percentage. The Saints made just two first quarter baskets but were able to make 10 shots from the charity stripe.
Marymount gained the lead for the first time at the 5:46 mark of the second quarter and never looked back. They would hold on to the lead for the rest of the game and never allowed for it to get tied after the first half.
Madisen Kimble led the visitors with 18 while
Terese Greene added 15.
Shawnise Campbell gathered six rebounds for the squad as well.
Marymount outrebounded Shenandoah 48-32.
