ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – The Shenandoah University men's basketball team wrapped its non-conference road slate Wednesday afternoon with a 73-65 loss at Elizabethtown College.
The Blue Jays (5-4) scored seven of the game's first nine points and led wire-to-wire over SU (2-8).

After E-town took that early lead, jumping out to a 9-4 advantage by the 15:44 mark, Shenandoah got a
Landon Russ 3-pointer 90 seconds later to cut its deficit to two points, 9-7, with 14:05 to go in the opening stanza.
Unfortunately for the Hornets, the hosts answered with an 11-4 run over the next 4:53 to expand its lead out to nine points, 20-11. SU continued to battle, bringing itself within four only to see the 'Jays use a 10-4 half-ending run to take a 35-24 lead at the break.
Elizabethtown controlled the second half, leading by as many as 14 points, before the Hornets made matters interesting with a 17-7 from the 4:28 to 34 second marks that brought Coach
Nick Doyle's club with four at 69-64 following a
Binwi Bihai layup.
The Blue Jays then clinched the contest at the line, making all four of its free throws while Shenandoah missed three 3-point attempts over the final 23 seconds.
Davion Roberts paced the visitors with 22 points with
Landon Russ adding 19. Roberts just missed a double-double with nine boards. Bihai matched him in that category.
SU shot 32 percent (22 of 68) and had a 42-33 advantage on the glass. Elizabethtown shot 52 percent (25 of 48).
