WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University men's tennis team earned its second win of the season Sunday afternoon with a 6-3 non-league victory over Marymount.
Playing inside at Winchester Country Club, the Hornets (2-3) jumped out to a 3-0 lead after sweeping the doubles over Marymount (1-6).

Aiden Steinly and
Brenton Baugh got things started with an 8-1 win at No. 3 before
Vitali Rivera and
Lance Dupuis were 8-3 winners at No. 2.
Keith Orr and
Gene Perle-Jones completed the doubles sweep by winning 8-5 at No. 1.
Dupuis put the Hornets just one win from clinching by winning at love in his No. 4 singles match.
Marymount got on the board by winning via retirement at No. 3 and closed the gap to just one, 4-3, with straight set wins at Nos. 1 and 2.
Steinly then came through for his teammates, winning 6-3, 6-1 over Lwazi-Enno Rennert at No. 5 to clinch the match for the Hornets.
Baugh closed out the evening by winning 6-2, 6-1 over Jordan Jake at No. 6.

The Hornets are right back on the court Monday with a noon exhibition match at Harford Community College.
