LEXINGTON, Va. – Eighth-seeded Shenandoah University saw its men's tennis season come to an end Tuesday afternoon with a 5-0 loss to No. 1 Washington & Lee in the ODAC Tournament quarterfinals.

W&L (12-8) continued its march to a 12
th straight league title with the straight set victory over SU (4-11).

The closest doubles match came at No. 1, where
Keith Orr and
Gene Perle-Jones dropped an 8-5 decision to Will Kistler and Eli Hirshberg.

The Generals clinched the victory with a win at love at No. 6 singles and having Orr forced to retire with an injury during the second set of his match at No. 1.

Perle-Jones was the lone Hornet in the lead in his match when the contest was halted. Perle-Jones had a 5-4 lead in the first set at No. 2 singles. That match, along with the matches at Nos. 3, 4, and 5 singles, were abandoned as league tournament matches are only played to decision.

This completes the Hornets season. Shenandoah will announce its 2022-23 schedule in late summer.
