WINCHESTER, Va. – Shenandoah University ran its field hockey winning streak to seven Wednesday evening with a 7-0 whitewash of visiting Stevenson University.
Shenandoah (7-0) wasted little time in jumping on the Mustangs (3-4), scoring a pair of goals in the initial 100 seconds, and never looking back.

Madison Short had the opening goal, burying a
Farren Winter cross-goal pass at 57 seconds, before
Lauren Tyre scored thanks to a
Cassidy Morrison assist at 1:40.
Morrison completed the first quarter scoring with goal off of a Mckibbin assist at 12:08.
Two second quarter goals, scored 69 seconds apart, gave the Hornets a 5-0 halftime lead. Mckibbin had both of the goals, scoring at 22:48 and 23:57.
The hosts scored a pair of goals in the third as well. Mckibbin completed her natural hat trick at 36:47 while
Claudia Lenahan set up
Elizabeth Ranberger at 44:50. Tyre assisted on Mckibbin's goal.
The two teams split six shots in the fourth with neither team finding the back of the net.
Shenandoah held an 18-6 advantage in shots and 8-6 in penalty corners.
Hornets goalkeeper
Taylor Swann had three saves in posting her third shutout of the year.
