WINCHESTER, Va. – Visiting University of Lynchburg won the battle of the ODAC men's soccer Hornets Wednesday evening with a 3-1 victory at Shentel Stadium.
Shenandoah (2-3-3, 0-2-1 ODAC) scored the game's initial goal only to see Lynchburg (5-0-4, 2-0) answer back with one goal in the first half and two more in the second.

Seven minutes later, Lynchburg brought the game back to level by converting a penalty kick.
The two teams headed to the locker room knotted at 1-1, and the visiting Hornets tallied the only two goals of the second half to secure the victory.
Lynchburg scored in the 55
th minute to take the lead before adding an insurance goal at 84:33.
Shenandoah goalkeeper
Travis Jett made five saves to keep his side in the contest.
Lynchburg had a 14-5 edge in shots and won seven of the game's eight corners.
