WINCHESTER, Va. – Visiting Roanoke College rallied for a 2-1 ODAC men's soccer victory over Shenandoah University Friday night at rainy Shentel Stadium.
Shenandoah (2-4-3, 0-3-1) took the initial lead of the game on a
Nathan Yared penalty kick goal at 59:11, but the Maroons (3-4-2, 1-2-1) had an answer.
IN BRIEF
Roanoke brought the game back to level with a Nathan Carey tally at 73:57, and nine minutes later scored what proved to be game-winner.
This goal, by Till Schumacher, also proved to be the final shot of the game.
The two teams split 24 shots with SU putting six of its shots on frame to the Maroons' five. The two teams also split 10 corner kicks.
Travis Jett had three saves for the Hornets.

Shenandoah hosts Mount Aloysius Wednesday night in non-league play. This is the second half of a doubleheader with the SU women and is scheduled for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
