Hornets Drop 43-10 Decision

LEXINGTON, Va. - Host Washington & Lee won six of the eight contested matches Thursday night in a 43-10 ODAC men's wrestling victory over Shenandoah.

Shenandoah (2-5, 0-3 ODAC) had an early lead thanks to a Sean Rinebolt fall at 133, but the Generals (9-2, 3-1) quickly answered back.

IN BRIEF

Rinebolt gave the Hornets a 6-5 lead after pinning Trey Custodio in 41 seconds at 133. W&L, which won the opening match at 125 by technical fall, took a forfeit victory at 141 to regain the advantage.

The Generals added to their lead with falls at 149 and 157 along with a decision at 165 before Dylan Weaver took the mat for SU at 174.

Weaver won his 23rd match of the year, and seventh by major decision by taking out Jak Krouse, 11-3.

W&L then put the finishing touches on the win with a technical fall, a fall, and a forfeit at 184, 197, and heavyweight, respectively.
