WINCHESTER, Va. – Visiting Roanoke College shot lights out in the fourth quarter on its way to a 75-65 ODAC women's basketball victory over Shenandoah University Saturday afternoon.
Shenandoah (11-6, 7-4 ODAC) led for the first 31 minutes of the game only to see Roanoke (12-5, 6-5) catch fire in the fourth.

The Maroons erased 14-point deficit in large part to the outstanding final stanza. Trailing 45-31 with 4:26 remaining the third, RC cut the deficit to seven, 51-44, to start the fourth.
Roanoke then opened the fourth by making its first six shots from the field, including four from beyond the arc, as it turned that seven-point deficit into a seven-point, 64-57, lead with 2:57 remaining. The Maroons ended up shooting 64 percent (7 for 11) in the final 10 minutes.
Junior
Maggie Rooklin kept the Hornets in it by canning a 3-pointer with 2:36 left, but Roanoke ended up making 11 of 14 attempts from the free throw line down the stretch to ice the victory.
Sophomore
Terese Greene led the hosts with 18 points with
Madisen Kimble chipping in 14 and Rooklin 13.
Roanoke also had three women in double figures with Sayre Brandstatter leading the way with 17. All four of Brandstatter's field goals were 3-pointers and she was 5 for 6 from the charity stripe.
Shenandoah ended up shooting 37 percent (24 of 65) and pulled down 41 rebounds. The Maroons shot 37 percent (22 of 59), a total that included a 2 of 17 (12 percent) showing in the second quarter. RC had 43 rebounds.
