WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University men's basketball team earned its second consecutive win Wednesday evening with a 77-75 ODAC overtime triumph over Eastern Mennonite.
Â
Shenandoah (5-13, 2-7 ODAC) got a
Binwi Bihai stickback of a
Joshua Stephen missed jumper with 39 seconds remaining to push past the Royals (5-14, 1-9).
Â
IN BRIEF
Bihai's bucket, one of three the Hornets had in overtime, gave SU a 76-75 lead.
Â
After the Royals missed a 3-pointer on the next trip down the floor, EMU began to foul to put Shenandoah on the line. With five fouls to give, this took eight seconds of game time.
Â
Stephen hit 1 of 2 from the line after Eastern Mennonite committed its seventh team foul of the half, putting SU up two, 77-75.
Â
The Royals missed a '3' with five seconds left, and after getting the offensive rebound with .3 seconds remaining, were unable to get a tip-in attempt to send the game into a second overtime.
Â
Shenandoah had the final possession of regulation, but
Malik Jordan's 8-footer came up short as time expired.
Â
Bihai's bucket capped an SU comeback from an eight-point second half deficit and was the 10
th and final lead change of the ballgame.
Â
The two teams combined for 19 three-pointers with Shenandoah making 10 of its 24 attempts and EMU 9 of 26. Both teams shot 46 percent (SU 30 of 66, EMU 30 of 65) with the visitors holding a 41-34 edge on the glass.
Â

Â
Richard Rogers had 14, Bihai 13, Stephen 12, and
Davion Roberts 11 for SU.
Â
The Royals had four men in double figures: Mahlong, Mark Burkholder (20 points), CJ McCord (11), and DaiJordan Brown (11).
Â
HISTORY
