HOW IT HAPPENED

Shenandoah found themselves in an instant hole giving up a goal in the 8th minute.  However, that lead would not last for too long as the Hornets started to apply more pressure.   Peyton Lubinsky would connect on a pass from Kirklyn Wilson to score her second goal of the season in the 25th minute.  Shenandoah and Lynchburg would exchange shots throughout the rest of the first half, but the score would remain tied at 1 heading into the break.

Lynchburg did not waste any time in the second, as they scored their second goal of the game in the 48th minute.  Shenandoah would fire nine shots over the course of the final 40 minutes but were not able to get the equalizer.  SU would hold off any other Hornet attack as Shenandoah held Lynchburg to only two shots for the remainder of the half.

UP NEXT

The Hornets return home for the final game of the regular season with a huge matchup with Bridgewater on Wednesday evening.  Shenandoah will look to get back in the win column with playoff seeding on the line.
