Pullum got the scoring started for SU with a layup followed by Makle picking up five points on the next two possessions. With Shenandoah only up by one, Joshua Stephen hit a three to give his squad a 10-6 lead.

The Knights held the SU offense scoreless for nearly five minutes as they scored nine unanswered points finished off by a three. Pullum and Stephen got the Hornets right back into the game with points in the paint.

Shenandoah had a nine-point lead for the majority of the final minutes in the first, taking a 36-27 lead into the locker room with a Baldwin dunk off an assist from Makle. Makle led the team with four helpers in the game.

The visitors picked at their deficit over the next several minutes, eventually tying the game, 54-54, with just under 10 minutes left. Samuel Dailey made one of his two baskets to give SU the lead again as Shenandoah wouldn't relinquish the lead again.

The Shenandoah defense helped the offense take a double-digit lead to end the game as the Knights were held to six points across the final 3:30 of the game.

SVU turned over the ball 15 times with six of those being forced by Balwin and Stephen.
