Four Straight for Men's Tennis

Hornets Defeat Ramapo, 6-3

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Shenandoah University men's tennis team put the finishing touches on a perfect spring break trip Friday morning with a 6-3 non-league victory over Ramapo College of New Jersey.
 
Shenandoah (4-3) roared back from a 2-1 deficit to the Roadrunners (3-3) to clinch the match with victories in the top four singles matches.
 
IN BRIEF
Dominick Suwak got the rally started with a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 3 singles before Artem Babaiev put SU on top to stay by winning, 6-3, 6-1 at No. 2.
 
Jovan Cirkovic put Coach Jason Cole's club just one point from clinching by taking out Siddarth Byreddy, 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1, and Keith Orr got the job done at No. 4, winning 6-1, 6-1 in just 44 minutes.
 
Orr and Suwak had given SU its first point by taking just 26 minutes to win, 8-1, at No. 1 doubles.
 
Jonathan Clippinger put the finishing touches on the perfect spring break trip by winning 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (12-10) at No. 6.
 
Shenandoah has now won four straight matches and matched its 2021-22 win total in the process.

The SU men, along with the women, host Harford CC on Tuesday in a pair of exhibition matches.
