SALEM, Va. – The Shenandoah University men's tennis team ran its winning streak to five matches Friday with a 7-2 ODAC road victory at Roanoke.
 
Shenandoah (5-3, 1-1 ODAC) took a 2-1 lead after doubles versus the Maroons (3-7, 1-3) and then dominated the singles.

Dominick Suwak and 
Keith Orr got the day started with an 8-4 victory at No. 2 doubles before 
Jovan Cirkovic and 
Artem Babaiev put SU up, 2-0, with an 8-5 win at No. 1.
 
Those four men all earned singles victories to help clinch the team triumph. Babaiev was first off the court, needing 52 minutes to win 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2. Suwak followed with a win by the same score at No. 3 and Cirkovic, the current ODAC Player of the Week, delivered a match-clinching, 6-0, 6-4 win at No. 1.
 
Orr won 6-4, 6-3 at No. 4 and 
Jonathan Clippinger gave Coach 
Jason Cole the final point as his opponent, Jackson Wagner, retired with Clippinger up 6-5 in the second.
 
UP NEXT
With Saturday's home match versus Randolph-Macon postponed, the Hornets are off until traveling to Randolph College next Saturday, Apr. 1, for a 1 p.m. ODAC match with the WildCats.
