ARLINGTON, Va. – The Shenandoah University women's soccer program shutout Marymount University in a 3-0 non-conference road victory Friday night.
After a scoreless first half, the Hornets (1-0) rattled off three goals in a ten-minute span to secure the win over the Saints (0-1).

It took 65 minutes for either team to find the back of the net, but the Hornets struck first thanks to the first-year, Audrey Atwell, who drove the ball past the goalie for the opening goal of the 2023 season.
Kaitlyn Wahl, appearing in her first colligate game, scored next for SU. Wahl's goal made it 2-0 with under 20 minutes to play.
In the 76th minute,
Lexi DiSora booted a ball from over 25 yards out that found the upper-right corner of the net to put her team up by three.
Chandler Gallant earned her first assist of the season on the goal.
In the three-goal second half, Shenandoah outshot Marymount 18-2, with an 11-2 shots on goal advantage across the entire game.
SU goalie Karissa Dominick earned the clean sheet, making one stop along the way. Six Hornets, including Dominick, played at least 80 minutes.
