BEHIND THE NUMBERS
Madison Short picked up her first goal of the season and that was all the Hornets would need to pick up their fourth win on the young season.

Farren Winter found the back of the cage twice to pick up her first two goals of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Shenandoah jumped all over the Devils from the start and quickly fired eight shots while applying pressure to the host backline and goalie, but were not able to find the back of the cage in the first stanza. At the start of the second, it was more of the same as the Hornets continued to apply pressure on FDU-Florham. After two quick shots and two penalty corners,
Madison Short would finally breakthrough for the Hornets and pick up her first of the season on an assist from
Lily Kyvelos and Shenandoah would take a 1-0 lead into the break.
Three minutes into the third period,
Mairead McKibbin would find the back of the cage for the fifth time this season to give Shenandoah a 2-0 lead. In the fourth and final period,
Farren Winter would score twice to solidify the 4-0 victory and the fourth win for the Hornets.
OTHER NOTES
Shenandoah did not give up a shot until the 56
th minute of play. The only potential threat came in the second period when the Devils earned a penalty corner, but the Hornets quickly extinguished and scoring chance.
Taylor Swann stopped all three shots on goal with the only other shot going wide of the cage. This is the Hornets' third shutout in five games on the young season.
WHAT'S NEXT?
