ROANOKE, Va. - Five different Shenandoah Univesity women's soccer players scored in a 9-0 ODAC win on Wednesday afternoon at Hollins.

The Hornets (8-7-2, 3-3-1 ODAC) were led by Kylie Malone's hat trick while McKenna Newcome and Arizona Fischvogt each netted two in the victory over Hollins (3-9-0, 1-6).

RECAP

Shenandoah had 42 shots in the match with three in the first four minutes of play. McKenna Newcome had the first shot on target, which was saved, but the first-year was right there to clean up the rebound and set the ball in the back of the net in the fourth minute.

Less than 10 minutes after the opening score, Kirklyn Wilson dribbled the ball inside the box before stopping just shy of the endline and feeding a pass to Peyton Lubinsky, who knocked the ball into the twine for SU's second goal. In the 13th minute Newcome took a pass and moved the ball half the distance of the field and fired a shot just inside the box to make it 3-0.

A misplayed pass by Hollins in its defensive box, led to Alica Bauer passing it right to Arizona Fischvogt got the 4-0 lead. The duo then connected again for a five goal lead just before the half ended. The goals marked Fischvogt's firsts of her career while Bauer earned her first two career points.

Katherine Pappas picked up her first career assist on the Hornets sixth goal to Kylie Malone. Malone scored the next two for the Hornets with Regan Burfeind adding an assist on the latter goal. Malone then assisted on Burfeind's first career goal in the 89th minute to cap off the scoring for Shenandoah.

Kasie Kilmer made two stops, one in each half, in her shutout win.
