Men's Tennis Earns Third Straight Win

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - The Shenandoah University men's tennis team won its third straight match with an 8-1 decision on Thursday in a neutral site match versus East Babtist University.

The Hornets (5-3) won all three doubles matches against the Tigers (8-3), including a pair of 8-3 wins, and won five singles while only going to a third set in one of their singles wins.

Keith Orr and Artem Babaiev won their doubles duel 8-3 on court one. Similarly, on court three, Aryanth Chintharlapalli and Anton McCloskey did the same thing. On the middle court, Jovan Cirkovic and Dominick Suwak had a tad closer match, winning 8-4.

Suwak won both his sets in singles 6-1, 6-1. Orr also won in two sets, winning 6-0, 7-5. Babaiev and McCloskey also won their matches in the minimum amount of sets, with the two each having a set finish 6-2.

Cirkovic dropped his first set but rallied back to win the second set 6-2. Unfortunately, Cirkovic dropped the third set 15-13. Chintharlapalli also went to three sets but he'd win the first set, drop the middle frame, and take the final set 10-3.

Shenandoah plays tomorrow morning against Dickinson in the final match of spring break.
