Men's Tennis Competes at Day Two of ITA Southeast Regionals

Box Score FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - The Shenandoah men's tennis team competed on day two of the ITA Southeast Regional Championships hosted at the University of Mary Washington.

After advancing in the round of 64 and 32 on Friday both Artem Babaiev and Dominick Suwak took on the round of 16 in singles and doubles.

In doubles, the duo fell 8-3 to a team from Carnegie Mellon University. On Friday Suwak won 8-1 and 8-4 in the previous two rounds but in the round of 16 on Friday he was defeated 6-1, 6-3. Babaiev dropped two sets 6-3, 6-3 in the same round after advancing on 8-4 and 8-7 wins yesterday.

In the B2 Singles draw, Shine Tokas represented SU in the bracket. Tokas fell 8-5 in the first round of the bracket while playing on the indoor courts.
