LEXINGTON, Va. - The Shenandoah University women's volleyball team was swept by No. 20 Washington and Lee University on Saturday morning in a road ODAC match.

The Hornets (10-9, 6-4 ODAC) were held to 15 points or less in each of the three sets by the nationally-ranked Generals (20-5, 8-3).

IN BRIEF

Kills by Hannah Hylton, Kamryn Keasey, and Alana Washington helped keep the Hornets close in the early going of the opening frame, but the Generals took an 11-point advantage, 19-8. Shenandoah got its deficit back down to single digits, but the Generals won the set, 25-13, on a 4-0 run.

Washington and Lee jumped out to an 8-3 lead in the second before pushing the lead into double-digits, 20-10. A kill by Ashlynn Spence cut the deficit to nine, but once again WLU won the set, 25-13, after a 6-2 run.
