Wrestling Places Sixth at Scotty Wood Invite

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The Shenandoah University wrestling team wrestled in the Scotty Wood Invite on Saturday, placing sixth with 49.5 points, and three wrestlers placed inside the top six of their weight class.

Bryan Guzman, wrestling at 285, earned two wins on his way to fifth place, including a 7-2 decision victory in his second match of the day.

Griffin Stewart placed fifth at 149 with a 4-2 record on Saturday. Stewart won his second, third, and fifth matches by fall, with his first fall taking place in the first round.

The final placer for the Hornets was Jack Birth at 184, who placed sixth in the weight class. Birth won three matches during the invitational, including two by decision and one by fall.
