Rinebolt and Burks Earn All-Region Honors

ADA, Ohio - The Shenandoah University wrestling team completed its season on Saturday at day two of NCAA Regionals, placing 15th in Region IV as a team with 23.5 team points.

Sean Rinebolt and Anakin Burks finished as All-Region wrestlers, placing inside the top eight of their weight classes. 

Rinebolt placed seventh with a 5-0 decision victory in the placement match at 141, while Burks finished in eighth at 133.

SATURDAY RESULTS

Anakin Burks - 133
Cons. Round 5 - AJ Orlando (Averett) won by decision over Anakin Burks (Dec 7-4)
7th Place Match - Logan Connolly (St. Vincent College) won by decision over Anakin Burks (Dec 9-6)

Sean Rinebolt - 141
Cons. Round 5 - Mitchell Johnson (Greensboro) 6-6 won by fall over Sean Rinebolt (Fall 6:39)
7th Place Match - Sean Rinebolt 26-14 won by decision over Leonidas Zoganas (Muskingum) (Dec 5-0)
