Williams and Bayless Score Career-Highs in Women's Basketball's Win at Dickinson

CARLISLE, Pa. - The (RV) Shenandoah University women's basketball team defeated Dickinson College on the road on Tuesday night, 72-60, to push its win streak to five to begin the 2025-26 season.

Senior Emily Williams dropped a career-high 26 points for the Hornets (5-0), with Skai Bayless also having a career-high 18 points to help defeat the Red Devils (3-3).

RECAP

The Hornets jumped out to a massive 12-0 lead, thanks to threes from Emily Williams and Addisyn Banks. The lead grew further later in the quarter with a three from Brynna Nesselrodt, and Mya Martin made a layup to get the lead up to 15.

Skai Bayless scored the first four points of the second quarter for the Hornets to help the lead stay at 15. However, a quick 7-0 run for the Red Devils cut the Hornets' lead down to eight with 5:45 remaining in the second. Leading by eight with three minutes left, Williams, Bayless, and Banks each scored to close out the half on a 10-0 run for SU.

The Hornets were held to only 10 points in the third quarter, after scoring at least 19 in each of the first two frames. Despite not having their best scoring quarter, the lead still remained in double-digits.

Williams helped extend her career night by scoring the first five points of the fourth for the Hornets, including an and-one. The senior scored 11 points in the frame while Bayless and Banks scored the other eight points for the Hornets.

Shenandoah had 12 steals as a team, with Williams and Banks snagging four and three, respectively.

Additionally, the Hornets, off to a 6-0 start, are receiving votes in this week's D3hoops.com top-25 poll.
