Wrestling Finishes 6th in ODAC Tournament

LEXINGTON, Va. – The Shenandoah University wrestling team competed in the ODAC Wrestling Tournament, hosted by Washington and Lee University on Saturday, finishing sixth overall as a team and placing seven wrestlers on the podium.

Four Hornets secured fourth-place finishes in their respective weight classes: Heath Burks (133 lbs.), Cannon Long (157 lbs.), Jalen Cornelius (165 lbs.), and Dylan Weaver (174 lbs.). Rives Hargis (285 lbs.) placed fifth, while Anakin Burks (125 lbs.) and Robert Keener (197 lbs.) rounded out Shenandoah's podium finishes with sixth-place results.

The Hornets return to action in two weeks at the Region 4 Wrestling Championships, hosted by Averett University, from February 28 to March 1. Wrestlers who advance from regionals will qualify for the NCAA Division III National Championships, hosted by Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island.
