Men's Tennis Falls to Stevens and UMW

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - The Shenandoah University men's tennis team lost two mathces on Saturday at the University of Mary Washington. The Hornets (1-3) began the day with a 5-2 loss versus Stevens Institute of Technology before falling 6-1 against the No. 26 Eagles (4-1).

SU won two doubles matches over the Ducks (2-1) to secure the first point of the morning. Dominick Suwak and Artem Babaiev won 6-3 while Jovan Cirkovic and Neal Love added a 6-2 win for the Hornets.

Cirkovic added the final point of the match for the Hornets, taking his singles match in three sets, 2-6, 6-4, 7-6. The Ducks won two of their five matches in three-set thrillers.

In the match against the Eagles, the only point for SU came from Shine Tokas' win on court four singles. Tokas defeated the opposition in two sets, 6-1, 6-4.

Shenandoah returns to action in one month as they travel to Randolph College for an ODAC competition.
